Research Associate Dr. Yeneir Vera Fernandez is a medical doctor with experience in family medicine and cardiology. She has a master in child well-being and has been focused on the impact of early human development in healthy life trajectories. Dr. Vera Fernandez is interested in the origin and development of health and chronic diseases (DOHaD). She is the leader of the collaborative research initiative between the Alliance for Human Development and the University of Medical Sciences of Havana Cuba and coordinates different research projects with the Cuban Ministry of Health and the National Group of Growth and Human Development. Dr. Vera is currently involved in the HeLTI Research initiatives in India, South Africa and Canada led by the Alliance for Human Development.
